Improving safety around Sandilands Tram Stop

At  the recent Residents Association meeting, an issue was raised about safety around Sandilands tram stop.

Residents were concerned about the number of cars dropping off just by Woodbury Close and Homefield Place. These drop offs were taking place very close to the open tram line and had clear possible safety implications.

I've been following up with TfL and the Council and have been updated as below:

"An update to tell you that Trams colleagues are raising this concern with Croydon Council colleagues at a Coordination Meeting tomorrow.

We seem to think that double yellow lines and more enforcement is the answer but this will be discussion with Croydon.

I’ll update you following the meeting."

if any residents, particularly in Woodbury Close or Homefield Place have any concerns around this please do get in touch.

I was pleased to join Heather Lindsay Chair of the SRA in tidying up the library garden.  We spent a couple of hours cutting the grass, cutting back the brambles and overgrown shrubs and sweeping the steps.
