The council is investing £14.5 million this year to keep roads, pavements, bridges, drains, signs, and lampposts in better shape right across the borough. Flood prevention is also part of the plan, with extra inspections and monitoring in high-risk areas. The funding comes from the council, Transport for London (TfL), and the Department for Transport.
I wanted to let you know more about the maintenance programme and how it is developed. The development of the works programme is informed by data and information from highways inspections, residents, businesses, residents associations and councillors.
I've highlighted the areas in Kenley that will benefit from this investment, but if your road isn’t on the list, please keep reporting potholes and other issues through the Love Clean Streets app as this helps shape future improvement plans.
As councillors for Kenley, we will continue to advocate to improvements for roads in Kenley. The full list of improvements across Croydon is set out here.
