The Sanderstead councillors were delighted to attend the 16th Purley Scout Group annual Gruffy Fayre, which has been running for over fifty years. As well as the football tournament and dance show there were so many stalls to enjoy such as the face painting, a climbing wall, tombolas and art work. So many of our local community groups were present such as the WI and the Sanderstead Resident's Association with whom we have a very close working relationship. The weather was perfect and I had the opportunity to once again enjoy an ice cream and admire our newly installed duck house on the pond.
