We've been advised that FM Conway, on behalf of Croydon Council, will shortly commence footway resurfacing and kerb improvement works on Grovelands Road, between Brighton Road and Woodcote Valley Road. Attached is a copy of the letter sent to Grovelands Road residents.

The works will be delivered under a rolling footway closure with temporary traffic management in place. A give-and-take traffic system will operate to maintain vehicle access through the works area.

Key Information

  • Location: Grovelands Road (between Brighton Road and Woodcote Valley Road)
  • Start Date: Monday 1 June 2026
  • Completion Date: Monday 10 August 2026
  • Working Hours: 08:00 – 16:00

Traffic Management Arrangements

  • Rolling footway closures will be implemented throughout the duration of the works.
  • Temporary give-and-take traffic management will be in operation.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Parking and Access

  • Parking suspensions will be in place within the active works area during working hours (08:00–16:00).
  • Residents and visitors are requested to remove vehicles from suspended areas to avoid delays to the programme.
  • Vehicular access to adjacent properties should be minimised during working hours where possible to allow works to proceed safely and efficiently.

Additional Information

  • Advance warning signs and resident information boards will be installed prior to commencement.
  • All works are weather permitting, and dates may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Signage on site will be updated accordingly with the latest information.

Whilst every effort will be made to minimise disruption, some inconvenience is unavoidable during these essential highway improvement works. We appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout the programme.
