Here are our upcoming Dementia Friendly screenings at the David Lean Cinema.
FANTASIA (U) Tue 9 May at 11am
Disney’s celebrated animated classical music anthology features the works of Bach, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven, in the portrayal of Greek gods and goddesses, dinosaurs and Mickey Mouse as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT (PG) Tue 2 June at 11am
This fantastic mixture of live action and animation tells the story of how, in a world where humans and “toons” co-exist, private eye Eddie Valiant reluctantly agrees to help cartoon rabbit Roger, who has been framed for murder.
GHOST (12A) Tue 7 July at 11am
A sleeper hit at the time of its release, the film follows the ghost of banker Sam Wheat as he tries to ensure the safety of his girlfriend Molly from the man who arranged his murder – with the help of charlatan psychic Oda Mae Brown (played by the Oscar-winning Whoopi Goldberg).
FAME (15) Tue 4 August at 11am
Set in New York’s High School of Performing Arts, Fame follows a disparate group of students from different backgrounds as they audition and then study at the school. We see how they progress across four years of study, as they aim to make it big.
