signage shows road closure

Cullesden Road will be closing for around 4-6 weeks for gas and electricity works.

I’m afraid that I can’t give you a firm date on when these works are starting, signage indicates 1st June, whilst the CausewayOne website, which acts as a portal for utilities and councils to notify their road and street works across Great Britain, states that the road will be close between 15th June and 14th July.

This will affect many road users in Kenley, not least those that rely on the 434 bus. Kenley Councillors have written to Transport for London as the bus operator to review route options, although I think this is exceptionally unlikely. We’ve also ask Tfl to post notices on the route to flag the closure – this is important as TfL are still working on a solution to show the bus toute and timetable of the 434 as it goes through Kenley. I’m aware that without the notices people may end up waiting for a bus that is unable to service the route.

If we get any further information, we let you know, but in the meantime, do keep an eye on the CausewayOne portal at https://one.network/?GB150422381.
