Croydon is so lucky to have wonderful local foster carers looking after our children and young people whose parents are unable to look after them for a whole host of reasons.
I am so grateful and lost in admiration for our foster carers who give these young people a stable supportive and loving home.
We celebrated them at a lovely event at the Fairfield Halls that was supported by the Deputy Mayor of Croydon Cllr Lynne Hale.
It was a delight to applaud every one who received an award for their service some who had fostered children and young people for 10 years, 20 years even 25 years plus.
It was a lovely evening and many stayed on to dance the night away!
