Battle of Britain Memorial Flight over Kenley Airfield

A Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast will take place over Kenley Airfield on Sunday 16 August at 1pm, commemorating the Hardest Day of the Battle of Britain.

We’re hoping to see a Spitfire taking to the skies, although the aircraft taking part will depend on weather conditions and technical considerations on the day. This is an important opportunity to pause and remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought to defend our skies and our country.

There will also be a Battle of Britain Service at St Luke’s Church, Whyteleafe, on Sunday 20 September at 10am. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Cllr Redfern & I joined the Sanderstead Recreation Ground litter pick.  We were joined by a number of volunteers who work hard to keep the area clean and litter free.I am pleased to say that on this occasion there was very little litter in the park.
