Just before the last local elections in May 22 the former Labour Administration granted permission to replace the family home at 270 Selsdon road with a block of flats despite residents objections and my objection as ward councillor. Since then residents who live near the block have reported numerous problems with the development that remains unfinished. There have been a number of requests for planning enforcement. The developer has been unable to sell the flats because of the condition of the development and has rented out a number of flats.
This development despite having residents has no garden space for residents and no planting at all despite having rented out some flats. I have asked for a definitive view from Planning whether this development has been built according to the approved plans.
