Sara Bashford
Sara has lived in Croydon since the age of 3 and in Selsdon for the last 11 years. She has been a councillor since 2006 and is currently the Cabinet Member for Resources and Customer Service. Sara started her Career as a buyer and is Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. She has been married for 21 years and has two children who attend a local secondary school. She is the Vice Chair of Governors at Greenvale Primary School, a Member of the Friends of Selsdon Woods and sits on the Selsdon and Ballards Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel, as well as enjoying an active role within Selsdon Residents Association.  |

Dudley Mead
Dudley has been a Councillor since 1980. He is a chartered Certified Accountant and has held many responsibilities, including being Mayor in 1989/90. He is currently cabinet member for Housing and joint deputy leader with responsibility for finance. Married to Margaret the current Mayor, he has two grown up children and two grandchildren. He lives in the ward and in Croydon for almost all his adult life, having gone to school in the borough. He has many interests including golf and music. He chairs the boards of Fairfield Halls, the London Mozart Players and the Garwood Foundation. He is also on the Court of the Whitgift Foundation. In the ward he deals with planning matters and housing issues and is a committee member of the Selsdon Residents’ Association. |

Phil Thomas
Phil is married to Jill and teaches at a large comprehensive school in Surrey. He has lived in Selsdon for 20 years and has been a Croydon Councillor for 12 years. In his time as a Councillor, Phil has been Conservative spokesman for Leisure Services and now serves, since 2006, as Cabinet Member for Environmental and Street Services. He is very keen on developing activities for young people in the evenings and school holidays. As a teacher he has, over the years, been able to make a valuable contribution to a number of schools in the borough by serving as a Governor, including Selsdon High and Haling Manor (now Harris Purley). Phil’s interests include travel, recycling and following Manchester United.  |
