 Our pledges for Kenley
 
The people of Croydon returned a Conservative council in May 2010. In Kenley we promised to:
 
Continue to vigorously defend the Kenley/ Purley area against developments which threaten the, green nature of our area and object to inappropriate back garden developments
 
Continue to press for Kenley and Purley to benefit from the road resurfacing programme – we have already seen improvements to some of our roads
 
Take swift action to deal with environmental problems
 
Press for our local schools to receive further investment

Cllr  Jan Buttinger

Jan Buttinger has been a Kenley Councillor since 1998 and is married with two children. She is a teacher by profession and serves as a Governor for a local school. She has held a number of responsibilities on the Council and is currently chairman of the Corporate Services Committee. She is keen to ensure that residents receive good value for money from the Council and understands the need to protect the Green Belt and to preserve the environment.

 

 

Cllr  Steve Hollands

Steve Hollands is a Croydon man having lived in Purley with his wife and two young children. Steve has been a Kenley councillor since 1998 and has campaigned locally to keep both Kenley and Purley a green and pleasant place in which to live. His council responsibilities have been largely connected to Croydon’s wonderful parks and open spaces and is very supportive of local voluntary groups who do their utmost to improve the area.

 

 

Cllr  Steve O'Connell

Steve O'Connell lives in Kenley with Michele, son Ben, an assortment of dogs and Louie the Cat. He has been a Kenley Cllr for 8 years and during that time has shown a particular interest in protecting Kenley's green environment as well as making Kenley a safe place. Steve also represents Croydon and Sutton on the London Assembly.
