| |
| The people of Croydon returned a Conservative council in May 2010. In Coulsdon West we promised to: |
| |
Use all influence at our disposal to extend the range of shops in Purley and Coulsdon town centres and encourage inward investment by other businesses
Press for appropriate development of the Cane Hill site so as to secure the best deal for the local economy and employment
Lobby for speedy re-development of the Red Lion and Lion Green Road car park sites
Protect the Green Belt and vigorously oppose any planning applications that have a detrimental effect on our area.
Continue our active campaign to secure safe pedestrian access at the crossroad of Woodcote Grove Road and Chipstead Valley Road

Cllr
Ian Parker
Ian Parker, a Yorkshireman, has lived in Purley and worked in the Coulsdon West ward for over twenty years. He is married to Jane and has two children who both went to state primary schools in Coulsdon. As a family, they use local shops and other public services. He believes that individuals, public sector and private sector organisations and businesses will all benefit from less interference from government and politicians. As his children are now both at High School, he has more time to devote to the local community. |
