Ben Joce

Ben has been a resident of Croydon for several years, after moving here from central London, living in the heart of the town centre just off of Surrey Street Market. He is currently an IT Solutions Architect in the Public Sector. Ben is passionate about Croydon and is fully committed to supporting his local community in the town centre, whether it be through chairing and administering his local residents association where he supports residents in dealing with local issues or volunteering through the Croydon Good Gym group. Ben is a first time candidate for Fairfield in the local council elections in Croydon, May 2018 and is hoping to be elected so he can continue to build on the work he is already doing by helping and supporting local residents. He feels strongly about many issues facing town centre residents and if elected will fight for and defend their interests particular with regards to town centre regeneration, planning, anti-social behaviour and the state of cleanliness of our streets.

Philip Smith

Philip hails from Leeds, West Yorkshire moving to Croydon town centre in June 2017. He is passionate about the local area having witnessed first-hand Labours failure to tackle the menace of anti-social behaviour and fly tipping. In his spare time Philip volunteers for the charity Friends of the British Overseas Territories helping to develop skills for younger people in particular providing coaching and mentoring to those without the necessary tools to help themselves.
