We have recently received a number of complaints about the upkeep of Selsdon Triangle, which is seen by many as the gateway to Selsdon. It is therefore important that this area is well maintained. We asked the Council to explain why it had begun to look unkempt. They told us
"When the beds are forked over the rubbish should be removed by Quadron (the Council’s new grounds maintenance contractor). Between this work it would be Veolia (the refuse contractor) to litter pick the shrubberies and grass areas.
Currently the Triangle does not look too bad. There is some weed to remove in the beds but that is not excessive. There is some litter in the beds. The hedge is cut and the grass was cut last week.
Quadron did go through a period where the Triangle did look ‘uncared for, but the overall appearance is now improved.”
I very much hope that the Council maintain this area to the standard we expect and have enjoyed in the past.
If you think it is being neglected please do let us know.
