Beware of possible deficiencies in the council's reporting app

Last week I emailed council officers to ask why a fly tipped fridge I had reported using the app had not been cleared. Here is what officers have told me:
I could only find one report for this fly tip made on 13th June, via the App, however there were no details about what has been dumped.
Veolia visited the same day but could not find anything. They will visit today and make sure it has been cleared and if not, look into why, one of our crews did not collect it sooner.
This is very odd, as the copy of the report on my phone (see picture) clearly shows that I described it as a fridge, and added a picture in which you can see it is a fridge. However, the app misreported its position by a couple of hundred yards, saying it was outside number 36 not 66 (in theory it uses satellite positioning to pinpointthe location, but it doesn't always work properly).
Clearly the Veolia team didn't look that hard for it - and I would imagine they must be used to items not being exactly where the app says as GPS locations are often a little out. However, I will have to remember to write long-hand exactly what the location is in order to ensure that the poor loves can find the items more easily.
So by all means use the app to report fly tipping - or the other environmental issues it can report - but please report its location longhand as well as relying on the app.
