A little about the team.....
Margaret Mead Married to Dudley, Margaret was first elected a Councillor for Heathfield Ward in May 1990 and has been a Governor of Courtwood and Forestdale Primary schools for many years. For the last nine years she has been the Conservative spokesperson for Health and Social Care. Margaret supports the residents, relatives and carers who are against the early closure of two residential homes for the very vulnerable, Coleby Court and Stroud Green Lodge. She has presented petitions, supported requests for road safety measures and attended planning hearings. With her ward colleagues she has held monthly surgeries where residents can attend without an appointment.
Helen Pollard Helen has lived in Croydon for over 14 years. Married to Tim, she has two children at a primary school in Croydon and spent 4 years as a governor of the school. She also acts as a Trustee of the Harman Atwood Charity which provides almshouses for the elderly. Helen has been an active campaigner for many years and is looking forward to dealing with the issues facing residents of Heathfield, like anti-social behaviour, graffiti and planning. Helen is committed to making Heathfield and Croydon a better place to live, giving local residents a bigger say about what really matters to them.
Enley Taylor Enley is married with two children who attended schools in Croydon. Enley and his wife own a childcare business, which operates children’s day nurseries and employs about 60 people. Enley is a school governor and is active in his church. As well as serving the people of Heathfield and helping with day-to-day Council-related issues, Enley’s other special interests include: securing more youth provision in Croydon, getting more support for small businesses and championing fair-trade. |
