A little about the team.....
Maria Gatland Maria has lived in Croham for many years. Elected as a councillor for Croham four years ago she’s campaigned on many issues; safer crossings on busy roads; more police on our streets; the Post Office at Elmfield Way to remain open and the protection of our green and open spaces. As the Conservative Spokesperson for Education on Croydon Council Maria has visited many schools including St Peters Primary School and the Literacy Resource Centre at Purley Oaks Primary which she has campaigned to keep open for children with special needs. Maria is a founder member and is Chairperson of The Friends of Croham Hurst Woods and works hard to keep it green and accessible for everyone.
Michael Neal Michael has lived in Croydon since 1983 and is a college lecturer. He is a governor of Purley Oaks Primary School and was elected to the Council in 2002. Since that time he has been active in issues such as traffic management, graffiti and recycling. He works with local residents’ associations representing them and constituents on urgent planning matters such as back land development. Michael is looking forward to continuing his work on behalf of local people to improve the quality of local services and to ensure that Croham is represented by Councillors who care for local people and their needs.
Jason Perry Jason is married with two children aged four and three. He has represented Croham for the past four years and has been a Croydon Councillor since 1994. Over the years Jason has played a key role in supporting residents against inappropriate planning applications in the ward. He has been the lead member for the Conservatives on licensing issues and has taken a key interest in the implementation of the new 2004 Licensing Act. Jason enjoys helping residents in their dealings with the Council and looks forward to continuing to serve the people of Croham. |
