Local Election 2006
Your Coulsdon East Candidates

A little about the team.....

Terry Lenton Terry has lived locally for 35 years. She is married with a son, daughter and young grandchildren. Her interest in politics arises from seeing the need for well-managed local services during her 27 year career with the London Borough of Croydon. For the past two years she has chaired the Coulsdon Neighbourhood Partnership. She is Honorary Secretary of the Group formed to celebrate the regeneration of Coulsdon and a Trustee of the Coulsdon Community Centre. Her interests include education, fine arts, fitness and travel.

Brian Udell Brian, a chartered accountant, has lived in Coulsdon for the past 20 years. Married with two daughters (one of whom is still a student). He has represented you for the past 4 years and was previously a Lambeth councillor for 12 years. He serves as a member of the Local Police Consultative Committee, a school governor, on the local residents’ committee and as a neighbourhood watch co-ordinator. He enjoys gardening, travel and being with his family and looks forward to seeing sound financial management restored in Croydon.

Chris Wright Chris has lived in Coulsdon East since 1968 and has been a councillor for 16 years. He is married with 3 grown up children. For the past 8 years he has been the Conservative leader for Planning and the Environment in Croydon. This fits with his passionate belief in the Green Belt and the need to preserve the environment . He is a local school governor and campaigns continually for more facilities for young people. Being retired he is very conscious of the need to contain Council Tax costs for pensioners and those on fixed income.
