A little about the team.....
Eddy Arram Eddy has lived in Croydon all his married life. He has two children, two cats and two dogs. Eddy has served on many Council committees and held senior posts including Chairman of the Libraries Museum and Arts Committee, proudly overseeing the building of Croydon’s £30 million Central Library and Clock Tower complex. Eddy has represented Croydon at national and regional level and was appointed to a Government library advisory committee. Eddy is a governor at Shirley High School and a Director of the Warehouse Theatre. His hobbies include theatre, cinema, gardening and watching football.
Lindsay Frost Lindsay lives in Ashburton with his wife and young daughter. He works as a Director for a cruise and holiday company. Lindsay is very interested in the local community and has spoken out on a number of issues, including the Arabian Nights parties in Ashburton Park and the over-development of the Ashburton Learning Village houses. He believes in giving residents a greater voice in the development of their neighbourhood and is keen on environmental issues. Lindsay believes in the advantages of public transport but likewise thinks people should be free to drive if they wish.
Avril Slipper Avril is married and lives in Shirley. She has two grown up children and a baby grand-daughter. Avril has been an Ashburton Councillor since 1990 and her main aim has always been to help people with their problems and local issues which affect them. She actively represents residents’ views on local planning applications and is an avid campaigner for improvements in road safety, the 367 & 289 bus services and problems caused by take-away food shops near residential properties. Avril is a Freeman of the City of London and Vice President of Croydon Symphony Orchestra. |
